Sarah Loughran
Education
Sarah LoughranSarah studied Law and Accounting at the University of Manchester where she was awarded her B.A (Hons) degree in 1996.  She then returned to Belfast and attended the Institute of Professional Legal Studies at Queen's University, Belfast and completed her apprenticeship with the firm of Donnelly & Wall in Belfast.  Sarah was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in 1998.  She joined Johnsons in 1999 and was appointed Partner in June 2011.

Profile
Since then Sarah has worked primarily in the field of dispute resolution, advising and acting for a number of the market leading motor insurers and also on behalf of some of the largest private sector employers in Northern Ireland in respect of their public and employer's liability claims.  Sarah also advises on general commercial litigation matters, including professional negligence, judicial review and commercial debt recovery.

Having developed an interest in the field of Intellectual Property, Sarah completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Commercial Intellectual Property Law through Nottingham Trent University in 2009 and has gained extensive experience in the protection of intellectual property in all its forms.  She has been involved in transactional work relating to various IP rights and also has experience in the enforcement of IP rights through ADR and litigation.

Sarah has recently successfully completed the Dispute Resolution and Mediation Training course provided by the Law Society of Northern Ireland.
